For the second time the British Fashion Council hosts London's Fashion
Week for Men, called LC:M (London Collections: Men) at the The Hospital Club in lovely Covent Garden area.
Three full days and evenings of menswear design events and parties. LC:M
is representing a more promising list than it's debut event in June last year
with Alexander McQueen and Tom Ford showing a renewed focus on
menswear as well as Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, JW Anderson, E Tautz,
Hardy Amies, and Jonathan Saunders. But there’s more, like the designer galleries at The Hospital Club where an
edited selection of London’s most innovative and diverse menswear brands is
showcased, encompassing both ready-to-wear and accessories collections like Sibling, Baartmans and Siegel, Christopher Raeburn,
and Matthew Miller. On Tuesday evening Anna Dello Russo, Jo Levin, Matt Hobbs
& Nicky Carter are hosting 'the fashion & art party' as Sir Paul Smith, Tinie Tempah & Dylan Jones host a private dinner to celebrate LC:M.
The three-day-long schedule will strengthen London's reputation as a hub
of leading menswear design talent. Watch the video below where the members
of the Menswear Committee tell us why they think British menswear - especially it's tailoring - is important
and what makes it unique, e.g. "Womanswear seems to be more inventive, but at last men are catching up." - that's to be seen the coming days.
